Hi Kassiopeia,

This is a fascinating piece, thank you for sharing. I'm aware that AI is presenting some issues in academia lately. However, it also offers an opportunity. The quote from UCL seems to be an apt demonstration of this. AI should not be rejected outright, but should be used in a collaborative and meaningful way to enhance the world of academia.

I think we should harness AI's ability to generate text and ideas at a pace not seen before. Now that such technology is widely available to the public, I believe there is a real opportunity for academics/researchers/students to collaborate using AI to determine how ideas and theories fit together. Of course, ways to mitigate the risk of plagiarism should be developed as well, but AI should not be dismissed in its entirety.

Hi Mindy,

It is great to see that you had an insightful time in Fiji, and kudos to you for finding how you can best fit into a novel situation despite the cultural hurdles! This is something we really enjoy seeing after an LiA experience. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for sharing your story and motivations Nhlanzeko Khanyile! Inspiring journey and authentic evolution of mindset. I felt really indentified with your best piece of advice: your efforts are never wasted.

I am a physician by training, and I am transitioning to a very different function. Making the decision to shift gears was not easy, precisely because I felt I was "wasting" my training.

Thank you for engaging, @Silvia Fernandez Mulero! Having read your biography, it is also very impressive! I look forward to hearing more about your journey through life in more in detail in one of our future Scholar Spotlights.
