My final reflection for my Leadership in Action summer, which I spent at the Centre for Cross Border Studies, headquartered in Armagh, Northern Ireland.
Week 6 Log -- Legal Aid
This is my last log. During this week, there was a particularly heartbreaking event that out of an effort to protect our clients and the LAWV policy, I will not share details of. That scene was my week. Due to the requirement, I will reference how that experience affected me.
Week 5 Log -- Legal Aid
This week, I asked different people in my office what their advice was for engaging in social services. I also went to a jobs fair at the local American Jobs Center, a federally-funded program that assists West Virginians in finding long-term employment.
Week 4 Log -- Legal Aid
This week one of the highlights of my week was attending a STOP Domestic Violence Task Force meeting in a neighboring county to the office I work in, where the organization has clients.
LiA Week 5
For the period July 2-8. This is my last Laidlaw reflection - I did not complete a 6th week in Northern Ireland due to the risk of unrest from the Orange Order parades of July 12.
