We have published a journal article in Science Advances for the larger project on which my summer research was based. In it, we present a new method for determining the mechanical properties of bimolecular condensates, which can be thought of as liquid-like droplets in the cytoplasm of cells. What sets this work apart is that we use computational techniques to measure the properties of whole populations of thousands of condensates at once, which is a great improvement on previous work which could only be used on single or at most tens of condensates.
This has been a long time in the making so I’m really grateful to have been able to contribute towards the paper and the wider project!
The paper is freely available from Science Advances so you can read it here.
