For more context, the project encompasses census data during the 2020 round (2015-2024) and boundary data for all countries of the world by accessing data/information online or through communication with national statistical offices. In addition, I am working to match country boundary units to corresponding census units, and reconciling discrepancies between censuses and boundaries with further research.

So far, I have worked primarily in the acquisition of data with some specialization in Latin American Countries. I have been able to learn a lot about how each country conducts its census and how census entities look in a geographical format. As someone who has worked more on the side of qualitative research, it's been a refreshing change of pace to work on a very data-analysis and visualization-heavy project. That being said, it's been very exciting to be in this unique environment. Beyond the fact that it is outside of the buzz of the city, I didn't expect the work to look different each day-- every day I seem to learn something new about the program we are using, and perhaps a country I've working on acquiring data for.  I also really enjoy how problem-solving and collaboration-oriented the work is proving to be.
