Week #3 Reflection: Leadership in Action
This week I've been working on the internal organization structure of all the Statistical Areas I've worked on, and finalizing the census/boundary acquisition notes for Kazakhstan, and following up with various NSOs on providing their terms of redistribution and citation. In addition, I have been working on acquisition for Austria, which has been going fairly smoothly, finalizing the populations and census admin boundaries to be used for Armenia, and getting started with boundary adjustment reviews for various countries. I have also been following up with various SA NSOs whose acquisitions were left at a standstill in hopes of receiving more high-resolution data/data permissions.
I hope to finalize acquisitions and population usage for both Armenia and Kazakhstan and follow up for other countries that have been placed on hold. I am also looking forward to working and learning about the ingest process (converting the acquired data into a format that is tabular for visualizing it on a map). I will continue to work on boundary adjustment reviews for the countries I've been assigned, and follow up with any SA NSOs I've worked with. I look forward to the boundary ingest workshop this upcoming week!
