Singapore is what the world first thinks of when it comes to smart, #sustainableurbandevelopment. It is focused on conserving its heritage, through revitalizing its architecture to drive economic growth. My research investigates the unique transformation of mural art artistic traditions, visualized across neighborhoods. This transformation is driven by a new age of mural artists who look within and beyond Singapore for artistic tradition, sharing the creative process with its residents, to create work that attracts a wider audience through their diverse narratives. Enclosed is a link to the paper, and poster that I was able to present at the Laidlaw Symposium in October.
