What went well?

The progress I made; what was achieved and done

  1. Attended a skills session that I got truly inspired: positive mindset and resilience. Encouraged me to seek help when needed

  2. Understood the culture of Fiji: weaving and the significance of handicraft (once again, shared lots of similarities with the Chinese handicrafts)

  3. Inspiring guest lecture about youth advocacy

What could have been done differently?

Things that did not get done and/or could be changed

  1. Due to time zone differences, I was not able to attend many live sessions. I could only watch the play-backs. This have reduced my participation in the LiA program.

What did I learn about myself when working with others?

Contributions, behaviours and values I exhibited

  1. Positive mindset does not mean faking a smile under adversity. It means one could get out of the negative mindset by recognizing where the problem exists.

What did I learn about leadership?

Leadership attributes and insights I developed

  1. Importance of seeking help when necessary. A leader does not have to be bulletproof.

What do I want to develop or focus on next?

What I still need to develop

  1. Try to be more willing to share my genuine feeling to others.
