Jeff, it's been amazing following your work over the course of the summer. Thank you for this window into your experience and everything that you've learned and accomplished in the name of BiD's clients. I'm looking forward to reconnecting when you're back on campus and hearing about everything that you couldn't fit into your posts.
Thanks for these updates Andrew! I'm sorry to hear about the housing issues. Don't hesitate to contact me if more or other problems arise! I'm looking forward to hearing more about your time in France.
Wonderful updates Marwa! I'm glad that things are starting off well. What a great idea to reach out to your friend and use your networks to continue learning and hone some skills to help your current organization! @Andrew Swank mentioned in his post that he also needs to brush up on his French. Even though you're in different places, maybe you can be accountability buddies together on your language acquisition? Just a thought! Keep up the great work!
This is fantastic Cynthia! I'm so glad that your summer if off to such a great start. I'm looking forward to hearing more about the students and the work you all are doing for the community in Bangkok.
We all may have helped provide you the resources, but you're the one who took them and did the hardest part of meeting your goals this summer. You worked so hard and accomplished a lot in a very short amount of time. I hope you're proud of everything you've done this summer!
Your detailed updates are always so wonderful to read. Your investment in the experiences of every one involved with RC from the women and girls to the coaches and your fellow staff members is clear from the way you talk about what your hopes and their hopes for the future. Thank you as always for sharing these reflections, Madeleine!
Congratulations on wrapping up your LiA, Wedad! Reading this, it sounds like you had almost double the amount of work than you might expect for 6 weeks, but you rocked it in just the same way you've encountered and overcome so many other obstacles. In the grand scheme of things, I know that overcoming these particular barriers where nothing in comparison to others that you've overcome, but I'm so glad that you're taking your skills, confidence, and passion to the next level.
Thank you for these updates Madeleine! Even across just two posts, your growth and the new experiences that the women and girls served by RC are abundantly clear. Your compassion, kindness, and caring shine through and I can already see a few ways that your goals for this project are beginning to come to fruition.
