In the final stage of the project, I synthesised all the research findings and submitted a set of optimisation recommendations to the Chunmiao Foundation. Rather than a grand technical solution, this output was a series of practical, field-informed suggestions for improvement.

I concluded that the Foundation's existing aid network, which integrates social workers and the medical system, was already highly developed and efficient. Its core model could not easily be replaced or significantly optimised by simple digital tools. Introducing AI for prediction, for example, would require substantial investment with uncertain returns.

Therefore, my recommendations focused on awareness and fundraising, areas in which I had the deepest first-hand experience:

  • Optimising offline awareness locations: I suggested selecting event sites based on foot traffic data and the locations of partner organisations (e.g. Bayi Hospital). I recommended improvements to booth design, such as leveraging real success stories and hyper-realistic models to elicit empathy, as well as providing ideas for clearer communication training for volunteers.
  • Refining online promotion: I proposed subtle adjustments to the structure of content and interactive elements of livestreams and online articles to enhance viewer engagement and donation conversion. For example, the tangible impact of donations could be showcased more prominently to enhance donor satisfaction.
  • Narrative enhancement: I encouraged sharing more stories of 'information and confidence' delivered to helped families to increase credibility and emotional resonance.

Ultimately, my project evolved from an initial technical implementation plan into an exercise in systemic thinking and humanistic insight into a complex social issue. The final output was a practical recommendations document, grounded in field experience, aimed at enhancing the efficiency of public engagement.
