Exploring the Most Efficient Mapping Techniques and Platform to Map Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Project Background:

Sustainability has been a growing area of interest for me, starting with my extended project on nuclear power as a sustainable alternative to fossil fuels and developing further through the Climate Action Training available to me at the University of Leeds. Needless to say I have become increasingly passionate about sustainability over the past couple of years.

Research questions and objectives:

The goal of my project this summer will be to contribute valuable insights, enhancing precision and impact in sustainable development mapping initiatives aligned with the broader global agenda. Another project focus is finding a digital platform solution to facilitate large-scale mapping when exploring diverse learning outcomes and syllabi for embedding SDGs.

The outcome is expected to benefit mapping practices across the higher education sector. 

The current plan is a throughout literature review over the first two weeks, following the completion of the literature review I will research multiple mapping technologies and measure their value to the university. The final week will involve a write up of my findings from the 5 weeks of research.
