This week I ended the second part of my LiA at Community of Hope, D.C.

What went well: I worked on updating Community of Hope's home care materials, which helps inform new parents about a unique and highly effective option they have to get postpartum care.

What could have been done differently: I could have added more information on the differences between home care and in-clinic care.

What did I learn about myself when working with others: I do my best work when I have someone to look over and edit my work in real-time.

What did I learn about leadership: Working with a historically underserved community means approaching things in a way that others have not; in the case of Community of Hope, that means offering home care to those who do not have the means to get to postpartum care appointments instead of blaming them for missing appointments.

What do I want to focus on developing next: Applying everything I have learned during my LiA to my real life.
