Teaching Everyday English
This week, I led my first ESL workshops with a focus on real-life vocabulary: introducing oneself, asking questions in stores, and basic daily interactions. We practiced role-plays that mimicked real-life conversations, which helped participants build confidence and support each other. One memorable moment came when a participant successfully introduced herself in English for the first time in front of the group, her smile (and the applause from others) reminded me why language is such a powerful tool for independence. I also continued working on bilingual pamphlets that would later be shared in the community, extending our reach beyond the classroom.
