LiA reflection week 6
We had our team’s showcase on Monday evening. We hoped to showcase the video content that we made for Saphi over these past few weeks with our founder, scholars, volunteers, and Selina guests. We delivered the showcase in the form of a pyjamas party with some snacks and drinks for the people who come as they watch our videos. We hope to have some feedback from English speakers to improve our video content for Saphi’s social media in the future. We started the party by introducing ourselves, Saphi, and our mission here. We also used a slideshow to show the audience the sites we visited over the past weeks. We then showed Saphi’s Instagram page so that people could know how their content used to look like and the reason why we wanted to make some different content, including museum visits for promoting Quechua and the indigenous language as a whole, Instagram takeover so as to add more human faces to Saphi as a brand with different personalities behind! After that, we presented the people a Google form to fill in their feedback as they watched our videos. Then, we introduced two interactive games. The first one was “find someone who…” in Peru and language version. The second one was to invite different people to pronounce a Quechua word presented for more different video content for Saphi’s social media. Finally, we played a short movie in Quechua. It was emotional. We all had an enjoyable evening.
