This week, I finally got into some work I had really been looking forward to doing: planning the educational curriculum for the museum. This consisted of two elements: creating a public-facing brochure to advertise our guided tours and creative workshops for school administration, and creating teaching resources for teachers to use before they bring their class to the museum on the field trip. I also sat in on my first ever meeting with an external stakeholder, a professional art teacher based in Paris, to receive feedback on the pedagogical direction of the work. This will help the museum apply to be part of the Culture Pass, an initiative in France (or maybe even further afield!) that provides credits for pass-holders to participate in cultural experiences at participating institutions. Although some of the content was difficult to get through, I was happy to see this project through from conception to layout for the first round of review by the board of trustees.
