I have started my Leadership in Action project with Guardian Inc. this week, a visionary organisation dedicated to the welfare of children. Under the guidance of Caitlin Puzzar, the co-founder and CEO of Guardian Inc., I will be diving into a transformative experience in Kyoto, Japan, aiming to make substantial strides in combating child abuse and bullying.
Our Mission: Unveiling the Untold through Innovative Solutions
Guardian Inc. has pioneered an exceptional child-friendly web-based questionnaire app, "kimino micata," designed to discreetly identify cases of abuse, neglect, and bullying among children in their daily environments. This innovative tool respects the privacy and autonomy of young respondents, providing a safe platform for them to share their experiences. My role will involve the meticulous implementation of this app across various schools in Kyoto, adapting its usage frequency to fit each institution's unique needs.
A Partnership for Change: Fundraising and Community Engagement
Leveraging my experience in SEO, social media marketing, and branding, I will be strategically enhancing the visibility and impact of our fundraising initiatives for Guardian Inc. in the coming weeks. By optimising our online content to rank higher in search engine results, I will ensure that information about our mission reaches a wider, yet targeted audience. Simultaneously, I will be harnessing the power of social media platforms to engage with potential donors through compelling storytelling and regular updates about the progress and successes of our initiatives. This not only builds trust and transparency but also fosters a sense of community among supporters. Additionally, I will be refining our branding efforts to resonate deeply with our audience’s values and aspirations, thereby driving increased donations and sustained engagement. Through these concerted efforts, I am committed to maximising the reach and effectiveness of our fundraising campaigns, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to make a lasting difference in the lives of children in Kyoto.
My Commitment to Leadership and Cultural Integration
This project is not just a professional challenge but a personal commitment to stepping out of my comfort zone, immersing myself in Kyoto's rich culture and Japanese language, and connecting with the community in profoundly meaningful ways. Working alongside Caitlin and the dedicated team at Guardian Inc., I am eager to apply my skills and passion to foster significant and sustainable change.
Join me on this exciting journey as I strive to create a brighter future for the next generation!
