Project Outline: Metabolic Economies of the Human Fetus in the Presence of Pathological Constraints: Understanding Adaptations which Protect Developmental Health
This research project would focus on mathematically quantifying the brain-sparing effect: when blood flow is directed to the brain for maintaining vital functions for survival under fetal growth restriction.

Project Outline: The Impact of Accent Bias on Voter’s Perceptions of Trustworthiness in Politicians
The aim of this project is to explore the impact that accent bias has on voters and how much they trust politicians. It will use accent and gender as variables, with participants rating how trustworthy they find each politician to be based on their accent.

I will be conducting research at the University of Hong Kong under the supervision of Prof. Kai Han. The research aims to discover a novel robust method on image semantic matching, one of the sub-fields in computer vision.

Investigation of the kinase VPS34 as a target for breast cancer therapy
This summer’s research will be focused on establishing kinases as a potential therapeutic target in cancer treatment by assessing their role in cancer cell growth and activity, specifically estrogen receptor-positive breast cancer.
