I’m Serena, and I’m a bachelor student in Life Sciences Engineering at EPFL.

Healthcare is one of my big passions, and the intersection between healthcare and technology, especially in neuroscience, is driving inspiring progress that I’m excited to explore throughout my research in the Laidlaw program.

Outside of that, my favourite hobbies are reading, playing guitar and going on long walks/runs.

This is really interesting work Bianca! As students, we can see firsthand how today AI is more prevalent in education than ever, and it's unfortunate that it can often impede on our learning when it's supposed to assist it. I'm excited to see how your research develops!

Thanks for this write-up! It's interesting to learn that it may be to produce mimetics of these receptors that can fulfil the same purpose, whilst also being capable of functioning in different conditions. You're doing some really amazing work!
