Amazing, Jayden. An ode to pride and community. So fun to read!
Ryan, thank you so much! Happy to hear you enjoyed my writing. Hope your research is going well!
This is such beautiful ethnographic writing packed with so many interesting and meaningful questions! As an anthropologist on her LiA at the moment, your comments on performing queer and ethnic cultures simultaneously and observations on who is watching such performances has inspired me to start seeking out queer spaces in Samoa in which I can do ethnography next year. Best of luck with the rest of your research, I can't wait to read your results.
Hi there Bethan! Thank you so much for your kind words - I truly appreciate it. I'm excited to keep up with you and your work on Samoan arts and culture as well! The work we are doing is incredibly important, and I'm happy to keep each other supported throughout our Laidlaw journeys.
I enjoyed reading your reflection on how you've grown, learned, and adjusted through the first week of your project! Keep up the good work, I'm excited to keep up with you!
