About Cothney Theresa Lasaracina
Welcome!! You can call me either Cothney or Theresa. I came back from my study abroad experience at the 'Université de Lille' in France. I will graduate this July, 2026 at the University of Leeds.
I am deeply curious. I love researching.. during my first summer as a scholar I concentred on 'Mapping colonial subjects from the French Resistance'. I had cross cultural experiences between France and the UK while doing my research.
For my LIA, I have partnered with 'Star Top Community School', to teach in Lusaka, Zambia; today I am their LIA Champion. Ask me more if you would like to.

My name is Cothney Lasaracina. Very nice to meet you everyone.
I am from Italy and I study politics and French at the University of Leeds. My Laidlaw research/leadership project is about Mapping colonial subjects in the French Resistance. I found it very fascinating and encouraging for my personal development, in order to strenght communities and enable a critical exchange through the visualisation of the impact that colonial subjects have had within the French Resistance. In my free time, I like to keep active through engaging in sportive activities i.e Basketball, gym and learning languages.
One thing about me that surprises people is my dynamicity.
I'd love to connect with someone who shares enthusiasm, and passion. It could be in any field. I am ready to hear from you :)

Loved to read on the tangible outcomes achieved! That's how it was for me as well, during the first week of my LIA.. "the planning part" period I would call it. Curious about the creative pathways that will be used to engage the youth. :) I guess I will have to come back to read more in the upcoming weeks..
Reading on your take gives me the impression that staying in Japan is revealing to be enriching and special, this opportunity sounds deeply beneficial. How are you navigating the language barrier at the moment? Curious to know. :)
Loved reading on this take. Thank you for highlighting the humility aspect of leadership, for period such as the LIA it develops inevitably, particularly while working with the communities as you said.
A lively cohort, such a pleasure to be around them during the day :)
I practiced the concept of´´You have to be comfortable while being uncomfortable’ certainly during my LIA. It lead me to experience consistent growth moving forward 😊. I can’t recommend it enough
👏🏼!
I did not know about Mary Parker Follett before, look forward to read more on her now! This notion is very powerful and relevant, I loved seeing it applied during my LIA period and later on beyond that experience too.
Happy international Women's day- it is never too late to celebrate it :) I am deeply in awe for everything I read, and I am grateful to be surrounded by a community filled with brilliant women. Great to read about their curiosities which have shaped research today!
