About Cothney Theresa Lasaracina
Welcome!! You can call me either Cothney or Theresa. Currently, back at University of Leeds for my 4th year! Came back from my experience abroad as a student at the 'Université de Lille' in France.
I am navigating the intriguing nuances of researching in England, France, Italy and Zambia.
During my first summer research experience, I have been concentrating on 'Mapping colonial subjects from the French Resistance' with a crosscultural experience between France and the UK..
For my LIA, I have partnered with a school venture to teach in Lusaka, Zambia...ask me more if you would like to.

My name is Cothney Lasaracina. Very nice to meet you everyone.
I am from Italy and I study politics and French at the University of Leeds. My Laidlaw research/leadership project is about Mapping colonial subjects in the French Resistance. I found it very fascinating and encouraging for my personal development, in order to strenght communities and enable a critical exchange through the visualisation of the impact that colonial subjects have had within the French Resistance. In my free time, I like to keep active through engaging in sportive activities i.e Basketball, gym and learning languages.
One thing about me that surprises people is my dynamicity.
I'd love to connect with someone who shares enthusiasm, and passion. It could be in any field. I am ready to hear from you :)

Wow! An incredible journey, that had great pleasure to reread, under your perspective. So glad we came this far through this project :). So glad that you made the children discover new things, through the library.
Beautiful to hear more about your journey Amber. Still delighted to have meet you coming all the way from Hong Kong in Leeds :). How small the world becomes during this journey with the scholarship
love that phrase, ''no one has ever become poor by giving''!
Have read your weekly updates and looks incredible Cothney, and I'm sure you've made a long lasting imprint on the people you've met over the past six weeks. Hope you have readjusting to home and feel energised for the new term.
I am deeply grateful for taking the time to read them Amy. It was a spectacular experience, that still leaves me with a lot of ambition on what can be done next there. Thank you so much!
This is marvellous, well done for continuing to maintain motion with your research :)
Well done Aimaan!
As a leader, our voice could be too influential, and it could lead to not permit others to develop their own ideas first. I try to let the voice of others go first before mine, even for the most timid. As a listener, I enjoy allowing others to express themselves by creating a safe space that doesn't try to push a specific perspective at the start.
This sounds like an amazing opportunity. I am already pursuing another project (geographically not too far from this opportunity, though). All the best with finding the right people to take part in it! :)
