The goal of this recent week, it has been to individuate children that need support and more work to do on their literacy.  Seeing the struggle, but knowing how to tackle it, it’s powerful.

I felt that my position as a teacher, right now could have really made a difference.

Even if it had to go beyond my teaching time. I did not care. My reward was not on the extra time spent during my break time, but on the smile and accomplishment of a kid that has learned something that he/she could take home with her/him.

HIGHLIGHTS:

- I spent quality time with the kids to firstly make them understand, and then correct their mistakes.

- During my day off, I went to the ''Festa della Repubblica'' party.  Ended up being featured on the ZNBC national tv of Zambia.

- I made new connections and spent time, getting to know people from all over the world during the events attended.

-  Visited the ''Victoria falls'' in Livingstone. One of the largest waterfalls in the world.

CHALLENGES:

- Looking out for activities that would engage the Pre and baby's classes.

- Lack of consistent electricity.

- Doing the laundry by hand! Washing, drying...
