I'm immensely grateful for the past six weeks of experiencing, growing, and learning. My primary task for this week was to create a working outline and start to write my paper. Documenting my experiences and my readings throughout the past few weeks was incredibly helpful this week for getting me on the right track. I was able to pretty easily whip up an outline I felt pleased with. I ran through several iterations, then started writing the paper. The process of writing was far more helpful in fleshing out my thoughts than I ever thought it could be. Although most of my finding have already been neatly organized, the composition of this week helped me establish a narrative between everything that I've found thus far.

There hasn't been a single moment of this experience thus far I haven't thoroughly enjoyed and relished. This summer is only a start for me. The research that I've worked on this summer is something that I hope will become a lifelong specialization for me. I want to give a shoutout to my research mentor Professor Elyse Kelly of Georgetown's Film & Media studies department, everyone who has been so kind to lend my advice, help, and mentorship, as well as the entire staff at the Center for Research and Fellowships (especially our Laidlaw Program director Colleen Dougherty).
