Participating in the New York Laidlaw Scholars Conference was an immensely rewarding experience that I will cherish for years to come. The diverse range of topics discussed during our sharing broadened my academic perspective and deepened my knowledge surrounding different fields of study. One of the most memorable aspects of the conference was the breakout session on Day 2. Listening to the presentations of my fellow peers provided valuable insights into their groundbreaking studies, which I found both humbling and motivating.

As I reflect on my time at the Laidlaw conference, I am grateful for the opportunity to engage with a community of scholars dedicated to making a positive impact in the world. Inauguration of the Oxford Character Leadership Programme, together with the workshops, seminars, and the Gala Dinner were also inspiring components that surely enriched my journey. Being immersed in the vibrant atmosphere of New York City added an extra layer of excitement to the conference experience. I was given an opportunity to travel the city through guided tours on the first day, and found sometime in the evenings to explore different places myself after the events concluded.

I sincerely look forward to applying the insights gained from the conference to my future academic pursuits. I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to the Laidlaw foundation for providing us with such an exceptional experience!
