This study aims to investigate the prevalence of trauma and associated factors in rural Nepal. Understanding the scope of the problem is crucial for informing interventions and improving trauma care in the underserved areas.

This study will provide valuable information for designing effective interventions, improving trauma care, and ultimately, saving lives.

The study addresses the knowledge gap by investigating the prevalence and characteristics of
trauma in rural Nepal. By utilizing existing data (secondary data) or conducting a retrospective study design, depending on feasibility, the study aims to contribute valuable information for:
 1. Public health initiatives aimed at preventing trauma in rural Nepal.
2. Strengthening trauma care capacity in rural primary hospitals, and
3. Advocating for increased resources and infrastructure development to address the specific
needs of rural areas.
