What went well?

The progress I made; what was achieved and accomplished.

The week began with the student orientation, during which the Laidlaw scholars facilitated conversations among the students and delivered essential supplies for the project. This event was successful as it allowed students to better acquaint themselves with one another and receive the necessary materials they needed.

What could have been done differently?

Things that were not completed and/or could be improved.

Overall, the process went smoothly, so I believe there is little room for improvement. There was a brief period when some students were unsure about their program enrollment, but the issue was promptly resolved.

What did I learn about myself while working with others?

Contributions, behaviors, and values I demonstrated.

Working with a large group of individuals taught me valuable communication skills. I learned to actively listen and effectively contribute my ideas at appropriate times.

What did I learn about leadership?

Leadership attributes and insights I gained.

Through my role as an educator and main instructor during the first four days, I developed a deeper understanding of leadership. I continuously sought out the best approaches to listen to and educate students with diverse backgrounds.

What do I want to develop or focus on next?

Areas where I still need to develop.

While I will continue to refine my teaching strategies, I also aim to strengthen my connection with students to gain a better understanding of their needs and perspectives.
