The project description: The project seeks to provide complete support and assistance to refugees and asylum seekers who are in need in order to overcome their problems. The emphasis is on inclusivity and offering assistance to people who are not eligible for government assistance. The idea entails setting up drop-in sessions to accommodate a sizable number of persons in need of support.

Stakeholders: The less fortunate community, governmental organisations, non-governmental organisations, and volunteers are only a few of the parties involved in the initiative. I actively participate in this project and collaborates closely with more seasoned colleagues.

Experience and Leadership Learnings: I learned a lot about addressing the issues that the community faces through this project. Working with more seasoned coworkers offers a learning opportunity to create efficient plans and solutions. Learning how to manage time, prioritise work, and take responsibility for actions helps develop leadership qualities.

Impact and Sustainability: The project's impact is in providing those who are not eligible for government assistance with much-needed support and assistance, promoting inclusivity, and enhancing their quality of life. Through effective time management, moral behaviour, and dependable support, sustainability is ensured. I now understand how crucial sustained devotion is to maintaining positive results.

Lessons Learned from Immersion: The value of empathy and understanding is highlighted by being immersed in a strange community. It exposes the student to many viewpoints and difficulties while demonstrating the importance of patience and openness to learning. By embracing the unknown, i improved personally and professionally and become more adaptable and successful in a variety of settings.

Position Objectives:

  1. Working closely with experienced colleagues: I work with skilled colleagues to swiftly address complicated situations. This creates a helpful and informed work atmosphere, allowing the scholar to benefit from their knowledge.
  2. Learning discipline and patience: The project emphasises the value of patience, recognising that lasting transformation takes time. I learned to be disciplined and consistent in their efforts, realising that progress may be slow at first but ultimately rewarding.
  3. Embracing the learning process: Recognising that knowledge gaps present learning opportunities, I took a constructive attitude towards learning new skills. This willingness to learn ensures ongoing improvement and flexibility.
  4. Effective time management: I realised the need for time management, especially during crowded drop-in sessions. Effective time management allows the student to serve the greatest number of persons in need.
  5. Responsibility and Reliability: I learned the value of being accountable for my actions and decisions, whether they result in success or failure. It is critical to maintain continuity of assistance even when various team members contact with clients.

In conclusion, with thorough support, our project intends to have a positive impact on a less fortunate community. My experiences and lessons learnt in this new context strengthen my leadership skills and build a commitment to long-term transformation. I developed the skills and mindset required to make a real difference in the lives of those they serve by engaging with experienced colleagues and embracing learning opportunities.
