What went well?

The progress I made; what was achieved and done

This week I worked closely with the NGO on our second promotional videos, aimed at spreading awareness about our yoga and meditation services. The process of creating this video was both fulfilling and challenging, especially considering my lack of video-editing skills. We brainstormed ideas, carefully scripted the content to convey the essence of our services effectively. We also did multiple drafts to constantly improve on the scene transition with an attempt to carry out the best effect. In addition to the video project, we also started the preparations for an upcoming workshop in collaboration with another NGO, which is scheduled for August 9. The discussion process went smoothly, and we are optimistic that everything will run well on the day of the workshop.

What could have been done differently?

Things that did not get done and/or could be changed

Reflecting on this week, I feel that I could have done better with my time management, as I often found it difficult to maintain an optimal work efficiency throughout the day. The multitude of tasks on my plate often left me feeling overwhelmed and preoccupied. As a result, I always feel anxious and end up taking too many breaks. Thus things were actually done with low productivity. Moving forward, I believe I should implement a more structured and scheduled approach to help me manage my workload more effectively.

What did I learn about myself when working with others?

Contributions, behaviours and values I exhibited

When working with others, particularly in scenarios where my time management was less than optimal, I learned that my poor time management not only affected my own productivity but also had a negative impact on the team as a whole. My inability to efficiently manage tasks and meet deadlines can also influence the group's progress and cause frustration among my teammates. In addition, I noticed that I tended to underestimate the time required to complete certain tasks, which leads to a domino effect of delays and rushed work. This made me become more aware of the need to accurately assess the time that may be needed for each task to allocate my time better.

What did I learn about leadership?

Leadership attributes and insights I developed

Through my experiences, I have come to realize that leading by example is crucial. As a leader, my actions and behaviors can have a significant impact on the team. While no one is perfect, leaders should strive to minimize any negative effects that their errors may have on the team. Therefore, as a leader, it is essential to show humility, take responsibility, and show a willingness to learn and grow from these experiences.

What do I want to develop or focus on next?

What I still need to develop

In the future I will further work on my time management skills even in the face of anxiety and fatigue. In addition, our group will continue to work on the workshop preparation to ensure participants can have the best possible experience in the upcoming week.
