I did my internship under Think Pacific and designed a logo for the Fiji National Kidney Centre. This was interesting and stimulating for me as it enabled me to indulge my artistic skills, and also contribute towards a meaningful cause since diabetes has a high prevalence in Fiji and there are significant overlaps with chronic kidney disease.
I also will conduct a volunteer recruitment talk for the Little Life Warrior Society, which helps children who recovered from cancer. Many of these children endured long chemotherapy treatments, which may have disrupted their schooling, resulting in delayed cognitive development. Volunteers empower them by helping with school work.
Both experiences above are extremely rewarding and I am grateful to the Laidlaw Foundation for giving me this opportunity!
