This week, I also started teaching my class on how to design their goals using the SMART framework. The SMART goals framework helps turn vague goals into specific and actionable objectives. SMART goals are designed to be realistic, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound. When goals are specific, measurable, and time-bound, students are more likely to reach them because the path is already laid out.
I raised the lesson plan and activity lists and had great interactions with the kids. I felt satisfied with their improvements.
Overall, the experience has been good and fun. One highlight of the week was hosting a spring term volunteer party, where I connected with many volunteers from Stepping Stones and learned about their teaching techniques. I can't believe it's almost halfway through my exciting project.
For week 3, I hope to be more efficient in designing the lesson plan and ensure I can help as much as I can before leaving the organization!
