I am an undergraduate at Cornell currently pursuing a double major in Agricultural Sciences and International Agriculture & Rural Development (IARD). I am fascinated by agriculture’s position at the nexus of human health, environmental impact, economic prosperity, and political stability. My long-term aspiration is to improve agricultural reliability and resilience in arid and semi-arid environments. Some of my specific interests include Circular Bionutrient Economy (CBE), Integrated Pest Management (IPM), soil science, and Agriculture for Peace. My research with Professor Rebecca Nelson on the use of human urine as a fertilizer combines several of these interests.

I was introduced to agriculture at a young age while working for a diversified livestock farm in my hometown, where I gained an appreciation for the scientific method and agricultural research.

I am motivated by exhilarating collaboration, the excitement of being on the cutting edge of agricultural research and development, and agriculture’s vast impact on society and the environment.

In my free time I like refining local clay soils into potting clay, which I form into pots of varying complexity.
