Week 5 Log -- Legal Aid
This week, I asked different people in my office what their advice was for engaging in social services. I also went to a jobs fair at the local American Jobs Center, a federally-funded program that assists West Virginians in finding long-term employment.
Week 6 Log -- Legal Aid
This is my last log. During this week, there was a particularly heartbreaking event that out of an effort to protect our clients and the LAWV policy, I will not share details of. That scene was my week. Due to the requirement, I will reference how that experience affected me.
Week 1 Log -- Legal Aid of West Virginia
I spent my first week in the state headquarters of West Virginia Legal, located in Charleston, WV. The highlights from this week included not only getting to know members of the office, but visiting recovery clinics as part of my legal unit's medical-legal partnership.
Week 4 Log -- Legal Aid
This week one of the highlights of my week was attending a STOP Domestic Violence Task Force meeting in a neighboring county to the office I work in, where the organization has clients.
