Research Poster: Developing A Theranostic Autophagy Detection Nanoprobe With Cardiac-Protective Effects

Hi, I'm Andrew, and I'm a junior at Tufts University studying biology and biotechnology. I'm very grateful to have had the opportunity to research these last several months at the Molecular Cardiology Research Institute at Tufts Medical Center, focusing on developing a next-generation nanoparticle for autophagy research by combining a therapeutic cardioprotective peptide with a previous autophagy-detecting nanoparticle while maintaining their individual properties.

I'm extremely grateful for the continued mentorship of Dr. Howard Chen, whose support and guidance were invaluable throughout the research process. I'd also like to thank Dr. Hushan Yuan, whose expertise on a variety of topics was crucial to the success of this project. Finally, I'd like to offer my sincere gratitude to the Laidlaw Foundation and the Tufts Laidlaw team for funding this project!
