I'm an Ethnicity and Race Studies/Political Science double major at Columbia! I'm interested in immigration studies, interdisciplinary political science research, and community organizing work.
I’m a Postgraduate Research Student at Durham University, specialising in soft matter and biological physics.
For my Laidlaw Scholarship research project, I worked on a project to determine the mechanical properties of bimolecular condensates in the cytoplasm of cells. Specifically, I developed simulations to test our assumption in the main analysis pipeline that all condensates were imaged at their equator.
For my LiA, I will worked as an assistant instructor on the Elevating Agricultural Technology programme with the Timothy Smith Network in Boston, teaching 3D modelling and 3D printing
I LOVE talking about anything related to physics / technology and am also really passionate about education and F1, amongst other things!
I am a 3rd year undergraduate, BA Business Management, Durham University. My research is: "Local, National, and International perspectives on the role of grassroots sports clubs in local communities." For a variety of historical and contemporary reasons, grassroots sports clubs in the UK have received relatively little attention in terms of the wider work that they are involved with and/or capable of. I seek to investigate what impact, if any, return on social investment and/or corporate social responsibility exists within grassroots sports. I am approaching the research from a interdisciplinary dimension, i.e., sociology and business discipline.
As a rugby player for Durham University and Hatfield College , the founder of a social enterprise, alongside being a Erete Fellow as part of the Effective Altruism Durham programme, the Laidlaw Scholarship in Research & Leadership is an opportunity to broaden my horizons through participation, research, independent thinking, meeting a wider range of diverse people, and grow my leadership skills.
On weekdays, I'm a microengineering student fascinated by 3D bioprinting of living tissue, wearable devices, electronic skin, soft robotics and neural interfaces.
On weekends, I'm a House and Freestyle Hip-Hop dancer.
I am a student at the University of Leeds studying Civil and Environmental Engineering
Hi! I am a 4th year undergraduate scholar at Trinity College Dublin studying Global Business, and I am currently on my study abroad in ESCP Paris. My research project centres on the importance of female leaders from ethnic minorities in the business C-suite & the necessity for better racial and gender diversity on executive boards worldwide. I’m really looking forward to meeting new people and experiencing new things on this journey!

My research project looks at the neurotoxicity of nanoplastics.
In my spare time I love to go sailing and hiking.
Law student at Trinity with a passion for human and environmental rights! Love cooking and developing recipes in my free time.
Advocate for finding alternatives to testing on animals

Hi! I'm Sophia, an aspiring scientist and philomath. I love learning about everything and anything and delight in spending time with people who are passionate about the things they love!
I am really interested and curious about how we can use chemistry to improve processes and products to help society. For example, my research project is looking into the possibility of turning struvite, a mineral which is a by-product of waste-water treatment processes into slow-release nitrogen and phosphorous fertilisers, which would be a green source nitrogen and phosphorous fertilisers and help achieve goals of zero-waste.
If you are researching something similar or are interested in learning more about the project, please reach out! I am super happy to talk about the project and meet other who are doing something similar and possibly collaborate!
