This project focuses on the role of the LGBTT Movement in the democratisation movement in dictatorial Brazil (1964-1985). The movement played an important role in democratisation and in how the regime responded to anti-dictatorial groups, and was culturally and politically threatening to the regime

What an incredible blog post, Bea! It is inspiring to see you navigate the complexities of your research project with such a positive attitude. I've said this before, and I will say it again: it is admirable how determined you are. I cannot wait to see how your worldview changes at the end of the research period.
This was something I came across somewhat in my research last year - published academia often contradicts what you may find in other written or oral sources. Academia is often itself a form of political control - the fact that you've found this contradiction between your sources and academic writing is itself an interesting point of discussion!
Really enjoying the blog posts, excited to hear more as you work!
Thank you!
