The 2022 Winter Olympics continue in Beijing this week!
Eileen Gu (2003-) is an Olympic freestyle skier representing China in halfpipe, slopestyle, and big air events.
She formerly competed for the US in the 2018-19 FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup, where she won two gold medals in Freeski Halfpipe and Freeski Slopestyle. At this year's Olympic Games, Gu became the youngest champion in freestyle skiing, winning the gold medal in big air at age 18.
She has recently launched a career as a fashion model, will study at Stanford University this upcoming fall, and speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese and English.
