This is the fourth week of my LiA journey. On day 1, we learned about how to pitch our project to others. I have done pitching before, but I have never learned pitching in such an organized way. Now I know pitching is like telling a story: with context, problem, solution and call to action. We are going to pitch our project to everyone on the last day of the programme, I can’t wait to show everyone our work and use the pitching tips Keni taught us to make an amazing pitch!
After a full day of work with our lovely volunteers on Wednesday, we prepare ourselves for a meeting with the Huerto Roma Verde staff to discuss our next steps. Unfortunately, not everyone is present at the meeting, and we have a lot of questions left unanswered. However, we quickly drafted a plan of action according to this situation and send out messages systematically to the group chat to get answers. I believe this is good practice for us: not everything in life will go according to plan, so we have to learn to make flexible decisions when needed.
On Thursday, we have another mentoring session. We reflect on our experience up to this point of our project. I think we are almost done with our project, we are just awaiting response from the HRV team. During our meeting with them, we got an objective change: the HRV team want to make the posters into a magazine, and print around 20-30 copies. I think this will be challenging, especially since we have less than a week’s working time ahead of us. But I do welcome a challenge, hopefully we will all learn something from it.
