This week, we are featuring a quote from Nigerian entrepreneur and activist Odunayo Eweniyi.


Odunayo Eweniyi is a Nigerian entrepreneur and activist. Eweniyi grew up in Nigeria and graduated with a first-class degree in computer engineering. 

She started her first company, PushCV, a company focused on employment, human resources and job placements in 2013, right out of university. Since then, she has started several new ventures. Her current main venture is PiggyVest, an app for personal savings and investment. It is the first of its kind in West Africa. In 2021, she co-founded FirstCheck Africa, an investment fund that seeks to invest in ventures started by African women. 

Eweniyi has been recognised in several publications. In 2019, she was featured on the Forbes Africa 30 under 30 Technology list. In 2020 she was listed on the Bloomberg 50 list. In 2022, she won the Forbes Woman Africa Technology and Innovation Award.
