Karibu, Asante, and Everything in Between | My LiA in Mbeya
My LiA video follows six weeks in Mbeya, from arriving alone without speaking a word of Swahili to finding my feet in a new healthcare system and community. From hospital wards to health education, it’s a reflection on adapting, learning and growing, with Leen and Orla by my side throughout!
A note on filming: I was careful to protect patient privacy and confidentiality throughout the placement. This meant I could not film many of the clinical moments that formed a large part of my LiA, so the video uses non-identifiable footage wherever possible.
