About Aminah Javeed
Hi!
I'm passionate about using the elegant and sometimes insane theories in physics and using them to contribute to healthcare. Currently I'm looking at a career treating cancer by using targeted ionizing radiation to skilfully shrink tumours. I'm fascinated at how physics can be used to harness the beautiful complexity of nature to transform lives. I sincerely hope I have a long career of contributing to this effort in any way I can, from being a clinical scientist to conducting own my research to helping other researchers receive patents for their work.
The title of my Laidlaw research project is 'Evaluating Current Methods for Enhancing Clinical Computer Tomography Imaging Using Contrast Agents'. This beautifully ties my expertise with improving patient outcomes and innovation within healthcare.

Hey Aminah! I really enjoyed reading your reflection! As someone who also worked with kids during my LiA, I resonate with your reflection a lot, particularly on loving the process of planning and leading discussions with them, and embracing the uncertainty that comes with things not going to plan--I used those moments as a data collection process for future programming sessions. Hope your LiA is all that you looked forward to and more, and I can't wait to read more of it! Also, if you need any recommendations of places to see in Nakuru or the surrounding areas, do let me know :) I've been there a couple of times because I grew up in Kenya!
Hi Anjelica, thank you so much for leaving such a thoughtful message. It's really kind of you to offer recommendations <3 I've logged back onto the network to post my reflection for weeks 3 & 4, and time feels to have completely slipped away in a wonderful frenzy. I now only have one weekend left and I want to spend it at the school and soak up as much as I can, but please do leave any recommendations of places I should visit, hopefully I can see them at some point in the future :)
