I am a first-generation Iraqi-Assyrian-American filmmaker, writer, director, and multimedia artist based in New York City. My work spans narrative films and television, experimental video, music videos, web art, installation art, and interactive art.  I have a B.A. in Film and Philosophy from Columbia University and an M.P.S. in New Media Art from Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. My films and installations have been featured in festivals, galleries, and public exhibitions. I used to work at Google as a growth strategist, and at YouTube as a content strategist. During the Laidlaw Fellowship, I examined Napoleon's influence on the political attitudes present in Le rouge et le noir by Stendhal and War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy. The following year, I worked in business development for Tortoise Media, a news publication based out of London.
