My Research investigated how inflammation occurring in the body eg. inflammation arising as a result of infections or bone fractures, can have effects on inflamation occuring in the brain — particularly the Alzheimer's Diseased brain. Recent studies have linked body inflammation in Alzheimer's Disease (AD) patients to worsened AD pathology, and the occurance of severe bouts of delerium.  Cover image source: peterschreiber.media iStock
