🙋‍♀️ I’m Summi, an incoming second-year psychology student, and a scholar in the Laidlaw Research and Leadership Scholarship Programme. I'm researching how international students use music for emotional regulation as part of the programme.

🔍  If you are at least 18 years old and an international student at Durham, I would be very grateful if you could take a few minutes to participate in my survey. It’ll take ~15 mins.

🎁 As a token of gratitude for your participation, we will donate £3 to your chosen charity on your behalf.

the poster (below) to fill out the survey! All responses are anonymous. Thank you for your

time and support!:))

I’d also deeply appreciate it if you could forward this to your other international student friends.

I’d love to reach as many students as possible to get a better idea of our relationship with

music.

Any questions, please let me know. Thank you very much, and have a lovely rest of your day. 💗

This is such an interesting research topic, Summi! 🎶 As someone who’s also part of the Laidlaw community, I love seeing projects that explore the deeper, everyday ways we navigate life as international students. Music is such a powerful emotional anchor, especially when you’re far from home. I’m sure your findings will resonate with so many. Wishing you all the best with the survey.
