LiA Showcase - Oliver Horn
I researched ‘The barriers of entry and progression to careers in Film & TV’ for my LiA. I worked with Disney, Lucasfilm, Epic Games, GLAAD, the Writers Guild of America, and Columbia University in the US for 3 weeks over summer 2024.
After one year and seven months spent planning, in between my 12-month placement at The Walt Disney company, my Laidlaw Scholarship project finally came together over summer 2024.
I learnt to overcome constant setbacks, stay persistent, and chase every opportunity when planning my project.
As I hope my video shows, this project is my proudest but also most challenging achievement in my career so far. This experience will always inspire me to push on and change the Film & TV industry for the better.
