The Laidlaw Scholarship has exceeded my expectations in every way. When applying to the programme three years ago, I never thought this Scholarship would lead to my internship at The Walt Disney Company or to my research project in Hollywood.
When first joining the Scholarship, I felt slightly intimidated by the high standard of the other Scholars and uncertain about conducting my research project overseas. Through this Scholarship, I have grown immensely in professionalism, knowledge, and confidence - and achieved more than I ever imagined.
When applying to the Laidlaw Scholarship 3 years ago, I wrote "I see this Scholarship as the perfect step towards my career ambitions". I could not have been more right. I thank my fellow Scholars and the Scholarship delivery team for this life changing experience.
