About Ciara O' Malley
Hello! My name is Ciara O' Malley.
As a Laidlaw Scholar I gained experience in multimedia production, producing a video series for the UCL youtube page - which you can watch here - and working for 6 months at Tortoise Media, the new owners of the Observer newspaper.
After graduation, I worked for 6 months at Times Radio as an assistant producer before joining the Civil Service as an Economist. In my role in the Department for Education, I'm learning SQL and Python to improve my analysis of government policy.
Long-term, I aim to combine my experience as a government economist with my passion for news, journalism, and data.
