I am currently a PhD researcher in Comparative Literature at the University of St Andrews, where I study recent literary translations produced in Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia.

The publicised publication of Zamir's novel Anguille sous Roche in 2016 and its subsequent translations granted international visibility to Comorian literature for the first time. My research examines how this French-speaking novel reflects and challenges the Comorian oral story-telling tradition.
