ZM Week 5- The patience workshop
Particularly one of my most challenging teaching period..
I really struggled with patience. On a Monday, there has been a changement of classrooms, due to lack of teachers. This has made the kids particularly agitated.
Although the last thing that I desired was to leave a bad impression as a teacher. I feared becoming too ''shouty'' or too ''calm/ laid back''. Therefore, I had to find a middle ground to permit my teachings to continue smoothly without interruptions.
After that Monday, I decided to think about strategies to prevent similar disturbances from happening again. I researched, and studied those strategies during my night, within the little time available with electricity. I had to develop stamina to continue to stay and to become a better teacher, day by day.
Reflecting on the way that kids began developing passion for the french language, which they have never heard before. I realised that seeing them responsive to it, left me completely amazed with joy.
They are sharp, attentive and curious. I thought to myself: ''imagine what they would be by having all the necessary equipment that they need.. more chairs, boards, tables 🤯🤯''
They would be ready to conquer the world…Or maybe they are already doing it. By being learners in the most challenging circumstances. That’s a victory and a conquest indeed. #Starsofthefuture.
