This week, we are featuring a quote from the inspirational sportsperson and executive Susie Wolff.

Susie Wolff (1982-) is a former professional racing driver and currently a racing business executive. Growing up around motor vehicles throughout her life, her potential as a racing driver was realised when she was aged 13. Racing in the Formula Renault and Formula 3 championships in the early 2000s, she competed in the DTM, the German Touring Car Masters.

Wolff's career in  Formula 1 began in 2012 when she was named the development driver for the Williams Formula 1 team. In 2014, she became the first woman to participate in a Formula 1 weekend since 1992, when she drove for Williams during a free practice session.

Following her retirement from Formula 1 in 2015, Wolff became the Team Principal of Venturi Racing, a team that competed in Formula E. In 2021, she was promoted to the role of CEO, a position she held for one year before her departure in 2022. In 2023, she became the Managing Director of F1 Academy, a newly launched all-female racing series.

Wolff also co-founded Dare to Be Different, a non-profit organisation that aims to increase the participation of women in motorsport.
