Haruki Murakami
Haruki Murakami (1949-) is an internationally best-selling Japanese novelist and short-story writer. His works, such as Norwegian Wood (1987), Kafka on the Shore (2002), and 1Q84 (2009–10), have been translated into 50 languages and sold millions of copies outside Japan. Murakami is known for his deeply imaginative, magical realist and often ambiguous style, with his work spanning genres including science fiction, fantasy, and crime fiction.
