Bringing the Law and People's Experiences Together: LiA Reflection 5
Hi,
I can't believe my LiA is almost over and that this is my week 5 update!
Week 5 had quite a different feel to the previous weeks because it was very project heavy and learning focused. I quite enjoyed this though, because I got the chance to develop other leadership skills.
My big task for the week was to research and create a presentation for the business development team about a tender offer. I really enjoyed the strategic thinking that this project required and also the opportunity to practice my presentation and persuasion skills.
Alongside this project, I learnt more about the 'unglamorous' side of leadership: how to provide feedback, how to organise business finances, and also about people management.
I’m proud of what I produced this week and for being honest, pragmatic and proactively organising opportunities for week 6.

I am a second year politics and international relations student at Downing College, Cambridge. I enjoy understanding how things work, why they work that way, and how we can make them work more effectively, and do so by using the interdisciplinary academic approach I developed during my first year of university and by emphasising the value of people's experiences for understanding.
