Make_sense:
This week we have continued sessions with the Make_sense team in the impact hub, where we have been focusing on project management, design thinking and intercultural leadership, and on how we can apply it to our own projects. Additionally two new scholars have arrived and joined our cohort, and its been amazing to meet them.
Hagamos Composta :
This week has involved two more meeting with the central team in Hagamos Composta, from their financial and education departments, both meetings were very useful in giving us guidance on our deliverables and they reviewed our progress. My main task this week has been researching grant funding, involving possible grants they can apply to, what sources of information on grants they are able to access, eligibility criteria as well as examples of successful grant funding proposals.
Volunteers :
The final component of our project this week was the amazing meeting that we had with our group's 2 volunteers in the Hagamos Composta cafe. This gave us more insight into how our project intersects with people's everyday life in Mexico city, and both of them have skills which will be useful to Hagamos Composta.
Hi, I'm Mila. I'm an undergraduate geography student at the university of Cambridge. I'm mostly interested in physical geography particularly in hazard risk and the ways that multi-hazards intersect with vulnerability and the ways that this will be impacted by climate change in the future.
My summer research project, is focused on the ways Ukrainians, both in Ukraine and in the UK experience and process the ongoing ecocide in Ukraine.
